Texas: Still in the Dark Ages

Some alarming news out of the Lone Star State this week. Christine Comer, the Texas Science Curriculum director, was fired for daring to forward an email about a lecture by Barbara Forrest that was critical of so-called Intelligent Design.

Fired. For upholding "sound science".

I'd like to say that Texas was on the verge of reverting to the Dark Ages, but any state that would elect Baby Doc Bush governor, not once but twice, really never left them.

And so what does that say about a country that would elect him pResident twice? We don't really know, since we wasn't elected the first time, and probably not the second time, either.
