Ignorance is Strength, War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery

Everyone should read George Orwell's 1984 again -- or for the first time if you (incredibly) haven't read it before.

The Pentagon, in a excessively orgasmic display of Orwellian doublethink, allowed people to join the Freedom Walk only if they registered in advance with the DoD. And then they will be fenced off while they are walking.

Organizers of the Pentagon's 9/11 memorial Freedom Walk on Sunday are taking extraordinary measures to control participation in the march and concert, with the route fenced off and lined with police and the event closed to anyone who does not register online by 4:30 p.m. today.
See the WaPo article for yourself and see if you agree that there's something deeply wrong with this picture.

Orwell sure had it nailed, and in 'ANIMAL FARM', as well. "TWO LEGS GOOD, FOUR LEGS BAD". Remember that line? WHO WILL STEP up, and say HEY, ENOUGH ALREADY WITH BUSH. Gore, Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton, Waters, Conyers, Pelosi, Sheehan??!! Boxer?? Powell, Tenet, McCain, MOORE?? WTF??!! WHERE IS THE HERO OF THE STORY??!! WHO HAS THE BALLS TO CONFRONT THIS ASSHOLE, ONCE AND FOR ALL?? ANYONE??!! BEFORE WE ALL BECOME someone in a freaking Orwell novel, or Huxley, or fucking Ray Bradbury. Farnsworth, I received your book from Amazon, you rock. Peace.

This is what Bush, Cheney & Rumsfeld call freedom and the American way. Give your identity to the Pentagon, march where they tell you, say what you're told to say. Anyone who complies is bringing shame on the honorable sacrifice of so many veterans and those serving now. They make me ashamed to call them my countrymen.
