The Way It's Supposed to Work

It's a sad commentary on the state of our national media, when a comedy show has to demonstrate what used to be standard operating procedure for talking-head journalism.

I am speaking of course, about yesterday's Daily Show, wherein Jon Stewart takes Little Scotty McWeewee to the woodshed over whether the revelations in his new book proves intentional lying on the part of the whole BFEE power structure.

It's definitely worth watching. Check it out here for Part One and then here for Part Two.

Thank the whatevers that we have Jon Stewart. If it weren't for him, some of these questions just wouldn't get asked. Probably wouldn't even have been thought of. And that's the sad commentary.

I am convinced that Jon exists soley because there is some energy in the universe that knows and understands that if I don't laugh I'll cry. And cry.....and cry......

Going to the Daily Show taping Monday 6/9 - hopefully he will be in a crazy mood and have a guest he can really harass....

DId you see what Jon Stewart did to Doug Feith recently? After skewering him for ten minutes or so, he held up his book, mentioned the title, and said, "It's a SLOW read..."!!!

Feith's jaw dropped! Truly delicious TV!
