I get a lot of bullshit from the few far-righty wingnuts who are still willing to say that they know me, so it didn't really surprise me today when I got an email from my old Army acquaintance, Billy-Bob:
Fox is running a poll about whether the flag should be banned in schools in order not to inflame Hispanic students. The poll is being sandbagged by SEIU (California union of service workers) and we should mount a counter action if you agree with me that the flag should be taken down for no one.Leave it to Clusterfox News. Since this is the first I've heard of it, I don't know the background on this but I am willing to bet good money that it is NOT what the Foxfuckers are claiming it is.
Moveon.org, Organizing for America, and SEIU have been twittering today to go to this Fox Poll and vote to ban the Flag ....
SHOW THEM WHAT TRUE PATRIOTS BELIEVE!!! Let's flip those numbers and show that we love our flag and it should be proudly flown in schools and everywhere! ....flip the numbers now-FLIP THE HOUSE in November!
Here's the text of their poll:
Should the American Flag be Banned -- in America?Down at the bottom they feel the need to tell us that this "not a scientific poll"... Jeez, ya think?
o No. This is a lame decision. Teach the kids what the flag means, instead of banning it.
o Yes. The safety of students comes first.
o Not sure, but of all things to ban, the American flag would seem the least 'incendiary.'
o Other (post a comment)
Feel free to drop by and skew the results yourself. All of us over here in Commie-Nazi-Fascist-Socialist-Obamacare land where we are in lockstep koolaid-sucking mode with MoveOn.org, Organizing for America and the Service Employees Union will appreciate it.

"In vain they seek to hide behind the flag and the Constitution. In their blindness they forget what the flag and the Constitution stand for." Franklin D. Roosevelt 1936--Heck, just teach the kids that a Christian Socialist put the Flags in the classrooms to help bind the States back into one Country. And selling them helped fund his political work.
This is another example of how gullible ( or deceitful ) Fox is.
Their motto needs to be "Facts? We don't need no stinking facts"
I tried my darnedest to locate a grain of truth for the premise of this email and the source seems to be the one school board considering banning all flag based clothing not to ban the US Flag but to ban other flags. I don't think that every went anywhere either.
It is shameful that is seems so easy to get a million Americans to forward these emails to the point people start to believe it just because they read it in an email.
Stop to consider Fox reporting that the president's trip was going to cost $200 million a day...totally false but after picking that off a conservative blog did anyone at Fox bother to fact-check before reporting it as "news"? Nope. One of several reasons I never trust Fox to deliver anything more than a laugh.
No self-respecting news organization would be caught dead repeating a blog as news without independent verification.
Thanks and welcome, JtV.
I hope you'll be back for some more comments.
