Fighting Back on "Guilt by Acquaintance"

Unlike four years ago, today's Dems are fighting back. Where John Kerry went wind surfing, Barack Obama is sticking his finger in the eye of the Rovian Rethugs. Call us a pal of terrorists? We'll call you corrupt, and unlike you, we've got proof.

Keating Five.

That's all you need to say.

Grampaw McCain, despite his many cynical mea culpas over the years, remains at his core unrepentant over his role in the scandalous events of the mid-1980s.

In case you haven't seen it already, here's the latest video from the Obama camp that skewers Grampy over his participation in the Keating Five affair -- hoist on his own petard, as the Bard would have it.

It's a bit long for the average American attention span, but it cuts to the chase and points out the truth of the sage adage "a person who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones."

There's something satisfying about watching the McLame campaign resort to acts of desperation like this. You'd almost feel sorry for them if they weren't financed and spearheaded by the same greed infested thugs that have ransacked our country.

Trouble is, Keating Five is only something people with brains are going to care about. And people with brains aren't buying the garbage the McCain campaign is throwing around anyway. The people who don't have brains are eating up the angry black pastor crap and terrorist trash because it is something they can understand and rage over.

What's really fascinating me now is the Republican tantrum over Democrats working to get low income Americans registered and participating in elections. Apparently there is something underhanded and shady about doing everything possible to encourage all Americans to exercise their right to vote.
