What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?

In answer to that age-old question, here's a video shot by a fellow trucker in my battalion:

I wasn't in the Reefer Kings, but they were a part of my battalion in Vietnam. This is as true a picture as you're likely to get (aside from, of course, A Bad Attitude) about the US Army Transportation Corps in Vietnam.

Farnsworth, glad you made it back from the Nam. Been reading your blog here and like it brother. I am a Nam vet also and sick and tired of these bunch of complacient yuppy assholes who allow for the dirty, grimey, 2 party monopolized political system to ruin this country and lead them to nowhere. Left wing, right wing, what the hell is the difference?? One talks out the left, the other out the right and the same BS comes out the middle. Lets put these asswipes into perspective brother and show that there are some Nam vets who do not play by the rules and bow to no one.

I'm just about as pissed off as I can possibly be about the Democrats right now. A new party of progressive liberals would be the ideal thing, but I'm too old and too worn out to fight that fight. Instead I urge everyone to show up at their local Democratic functions, run for precinct committee officer, get on committees and infiltrate the bastards and turn the Democratic Party back into the party it was meant to be.

Just want to offer some overdue props for 'Bad Attitude'.

It rests on my bookshelf next to Hunter S. Thompson, Bill Bryson, Augusten Burroughs and Garrison Keillor. Not shabby company.

Wow, thanks jae. That's some heady company for me to be with. I'm glad you think so highly of the book.
Feel free to drop by Amazon and leave a review, if you're so inclined.
