Shut the Fuck Up
Steve Gilliard has it right.
The goddamn chickenhawks who stumblebummed us into the Mess-o'-potamia, along with their most vocal supporters, aren't in uniform, they don't plan to be, and they DON'T have children in uniform (for example, see my commentary on the Bush twins yesterday).
Unless they are willing to enlist themselves, or encourage their children to enlist, in the event that they are too old, they can just shut the fuck up.
Hey, I'm talking to you. Yes, you, moron. Unless you and your family members and friends are willing to die in Iraq, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
I don't want to hear your crap about just a few more troops, just a few more months, just a few more billions of dollars.
I heard enough of that in Vietnam, when we could "see the light at the end of the tunnel". Same tunnel then as now: The light was the 3:15 Clusterfuck Express coming dead at us at 90 miles per.

Brilliant, monitor-ruining line AND great post as well! I will be checking back here frequently. (I came via Jo Fish at DemVet who I also read)
P.S. My heart goes out to you and all of our fighting forces with the loss of our Marines in the deadly IED attack today. Especially the several (3? 5?) female Marines killed. They were people's mothers, sisters and wives--and every one of 'em had more stones than our "commander in chief". God rest them.

Actually you can see what we are fighting for, take a look at a map of Middle East and Asia. Now consider that China is the world's largest economy and is growing at such a rate they are second to the US in internet access. THEY NEED LOTS OF GAS. Now draw a line from China to the oil fields. Hmmm I guess we have to get Iran and then we have one straight line from the oil fields to China and India, the next largest merging economy. And we have troops on both sides of Iran, a nuke-loving pagan!
